About the Role
Clase Connected is a specialist maritime SATCOM and managed connectivity provider, delivering multi path solutions including Starlink, KVH, Iridium, and cellular data services to vessels and maritime operators worldwide. We’re a small, high energy team and we’re growing.
We’re looking for a sharp, organised Airtime Coordinator to take ownership of our subscription billing, and airtime customer service operations. This is a busy, varied role at the operational heart of the business no two days look the same.
Important: Upcoming Office Relocation
We are moving to new premises in July/August 2026.
Initial onboarding and training: Current office, Waterlooville PO7 7XX
Permanent base from relocation: New office, Chichester area PO18 9JL

What You’ll Be Doing
Billing & Finance Administration
▸ Raising and processing invoices for maritime airtime subscriptions, roaming charges, and adhoc services
▸ Reconciling billing against network provider statements and resolving discrepancies
▸ Managing the full billing cycle in Xero (highly desirable)
▸ Handling customer billing queries professionally and efficiently
▸ Supporting monthly reporting and revenue tracking
SIM, eSIM & Subscription Management
▸ Managing physical SIM card stock ordering, allocation, logging, and dispatch
▸ Administering eSIM provisioning and activation for maritime and IoT customers
▸ Maintaining accurate subscription records across multiple network providers
▸ Activating, modifying, suspending, and terminating service plans as instructed
▸ Keeping customer account data up to date across internal systems
Customer Service & Account Support
▸ Being a first point of contact for customer billing and service enquiries by phone and email
▸ Resolving issues calmly and professionally, including deescalating complex or challenging situations
▸ Liaising with network providers and third party carriers to resolve connectivity and billing issues
▸ Supporting the sales team with customer onboarding and account administration
General Operations
▸ Maintaining internal records, trackers, and documentation
▸ Assisting with procurement administration and supplier correspondence
▸ Contributing to process improvement and operational efficiency
What You Need to Succeed
Essential
▸ Confident and clear verbal communicator, this role involves regular telephone contact with customers and partners from diverse international backgrounds, so the ability to communicate professionally and adapt your communication style across different languages and cultures is essential
▸ Proven experience in a billing administration or accounts administration role
▸ Strong numerical accuracy and exceptional attention to detail
▸ Confident, professional telephone and written communication skills
▸ Excellent conflict resolution skills and ability to remain composed under pressure
▸ High proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace (particularly Excel/Sheets)
▸ A proactive, self-managing working style
▸ Valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (given dual-location working during transition)
Highly Desirable
▸ Experience with Xero accounting software
▸ Background in telecoms, SATCOM, or managed services
▸ Familiarity with SIM/eSIM provisioning or subscription management
▸ Prior experience in a customer facing admin or co-ordinator role
▸ Exposure to maritime, logistics, or similar technical B2B environments
Out of Hours & Weekend Support
This role includes a rotational element of out of hours and weekend airtime enquiry support, typically on a one weekend in four rota basis. Our maritime customers operate around the clock, and occasional responsiveness outside standard hours is part of keeping them connected. Weekend support shifts are fully compensated with equivalent time off in lieu, ensuring your work life balance remains protected. Candidates who are flexible and comfortable with occasional on call responsibilities will thrive in this aspect of the role.
