Pay Range: £57,400 – £66,100 per annum

The Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Additional Learning Support (ALS) manager to manage and oversee all aspects of an effective Supported Learning department at our Epping Campus. Reporting to the Deputy Group Curriculum Director for Supported Learning, the Senior Curriculum Manager (SCM) are second tier managers within our Directorate structure. You will line manage coordinators, and support staff ensuring they are effectively deployed and deploy other staff, so that the students are appropriately supported. You will be required to collaborate with the Deputy Group Curriculum Director to ensure the effective implementation and management of EHCPS for students. This includes coordinating with local authorities, parents, and educational staff to ensure the students receive the necessary support and resources to thrive academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
The core purpose of the ALS Manager role in Supported Learning is to ensure the day-to-day support for students with learning disabilities and/or disabilities is effective and meets student needs. You will work with local boroughs to agree potential funding in line with the need and resourcing. You will also have teaching responsibilities within Supported Learning department, 1-2-1 and/or group support, or attached to main curriculum as per the specialism you hold and will be expected to carry out line-management duties and classroom observations.
Who You Are:
It is essential that candidates have a relevant degree or equivalent qualification, are teacher trained, have both management and teaching experience in this curriculum area. SENDCO experience would highly benefit an application.
