Overview

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Professional to take full ownership of the AP function across our operational entities. This is an end-to-end role with a strong focus on process improvement, automation, and supporting the wider finance function.

You will manage Accounts Payable across 8 entities (with further growth planned) and play a key role in building a scalable, efficient, and future-ready finance operation. With a heavy emphasis on automation, approximately 99% of transactions are processed via import files, making systems expertise critical.

Responsibilities

Accounts Payable Ownership:

• Take full ownership of the Tipalti AP function:

– Review and validate invoice data post-upload

– Assign appropriate approval workflows

– Respond to supplier and internal queries

– Onboard suppliers onto Tipalti

• Prepare weekly payment runs per entity for approval and funding
• Ensure all payments are processed accurately and not deferred
• Issue monthly remittance advice to suppliers
• Manage Tipalti-to-Sage 50 integrations, including:

– Invoice, credit, payee, and payment imports

• Perform quarterly reconciliations between Tipalti and the accounting system

Banking & Reconciliations:

• Reconcile bank accounts across multiple entities
• Post and allocate:

– Direct debits and manual payments

– Intercompany transfers

-Non-PEX (AR system) income

• Support operational payment allocations by analysing credit/debit balances

Financial Operations:

• Support credit card processes, including transition to a new Barclays system

– Review coding accuracy and data completeness

– Import monthly data into Sage 50

• Review and process legacy petty cash/credit card entries (being phased out)
• Prepare Accounts Payable audit files

Journals & Reporting:

• Post regular journals, including:

– Intercompany recharges

– Brand fees

• Maintain supplier data alignment between Tipalti and Sage
• Support budget and forecast tracking within Tipalti

Systems & Process Improvement:

• Contribute to ongoing finance transformation initiatives, including automation and controls
• Support enhancements to systems, processes, and reporting capabilities
• Take ownership of AP setup for new business entities

Essential:

• Tipalti
• Excel

Desirable:

• Sage 50
• NetSuite or Xero
• Power BI

About You

• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in Accounts Payable
• Strong experience using Tipalti (essential)
• Experience working in multi-entity environments
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail
