• Payout: $20 – $110/hour

Role Overview

We are hiring Accountants and Tax Specialists across US GAAP, UK GAAP, tax filing, compliance, and grants management. In this role, you will own accounting or tax responsibilities for clients ranging from startups to established firms. The ideal candidate is certified or actively pursuing certification, detail-oriented, and strong in Excel.

Key Responsibilities

– Prepare, review, and file US federal and state tax returns (individual and business).

– Manage US or UK GAAP accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.

– Build financial models, forecasts, and reports in Excel and Google Sheets.

– Ensure compliance with federal grant guidelines where applicable.

– Partner with finance teams and CFOs on accurate financial reporting.

– Respond to client or auditor inquiries with clear documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

– CPA, EA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent certification (or actively pursuing).

– 2+ years of professional accounting, tax, or audit experience.

– Advanced Excel skills including pivots, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and Power Query.

– Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

– Clear written English and professional communication.

– Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

– QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, or SAP experience.

– Multi-entity or multi-currency accounting.

– SaaS or technology company accounting (deferred revenue, ARR metrics).

– Federal grant compliance experience (2 CFR Part 200).

– IRS audit defense or forensic accounting background.
