Talent Acquisition (TA) sources and hires top talent for American Express around the world. The function, with approximately 500 colleagues, supports early career, experienced, and executive hiring, as well as our New to Blue onboarding experience.
The Manager Assistant (MA) – serving as Chief of Staff to the VP, Talent Acquisition – is a strategic and high-impact role. This individual will act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the VP and TA Leadership Team, helping shape priorities, challenge thinking, and translate vision into action.
This role requires a strong strategic and analytical thinker who can bring structure to complexity, anticipate needs, connect dots across the enterprise, and influence outcomes without direct authority. The MA will operate as a critical partner to leadership — driving alignment, elevating decision quality, and ensuring the function executes with focus and impact. The role also owns executive communications, budget governance, colleague engagement, and oversight of annual performance and compensation processes.
