The Opportunity

We’re working with a growing, design-led engineering business delivering turnkey projects in highly regulated and technically complex environments across the UK. Due to increased workload and a strong pipeline, they’re looking to bring in a Contract Electrical Design Engineer to support ongoing project delivery.

This is a hands-on, technically engaging role where you’ll be part of a close-knit, high-performing team working on complex, controlled environments across sectors like life sciences, healthcare, and advanced manufacturing.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Producing Stage 3 & 4 electrical designs
• Developing and coordinating GA markups within Revit (BIM environment)
• Carrying out lighting calculations (Relux / Dialux)
• Supporting electrical design via Trimble ProDesign / Stabicad (training provided)
• Producing:
• Technical submittals
• RFIs
• Circuit schedules & design documentation
• Coordinating with architectural & mechanical teams via BIM 360
• Attending site surveys and project meetings (UK-wide as required)

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in electrical building services design
• Strong working knowledge of:
• Revit (preferred)
• Relux or Dialux
• Experience with Trimble ProDesign / Stabicad (desirable, not essential)
• Background in live or regulated environments (e.g. healthcare, pharma, data centres) is a bonus
• Ideally time-served electrician turned designer – but not essential
• Most importantly: attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn
