Background:
Cornwall Marine Academy (CMA) is a subsidiary of Cornwall Marine Network (CMN), a not-for-profit company dedicated to supporting the Marine sector in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly via initiatives that improve profitability and encourage growth through quality and innovation.
CMN has successfully secured more than £42 million investment in the local sector and added more than £700 million of gross value added to Cornwall’s economy in 20 years, enabling our business Members and other Cornwall SMEs to create more than 5,115 new jobs. Success has been achieved through the delivery of three key activities: Marketing mentoring, workforce development and Innovation Support. The team continuously seeks opportunities to offer new and additional services that meet the needs and demand of its member businesses and other sectors.
CMA, a Community Interest Company (CIC), was created in 2008 to raise awareness of the wide range of career opportunities in the Marine sector, delivering vocational training and work experience to young people aged 9 to 24 and support their employability and progression onto further education, an Apprenticeship or a job.
CMA supports learners aged 9-18 using UK funding and fee-paying commercial income. It supports a wide range of businesses ambassadors to engage young people through site visits, inspirational talks and work experience placements across all sectors (including but not limited to Marine) and both within Cornwall and across the South West of England.
Purpose: CMA is seeking a Freelance Job Coach, to provide training and support to Interns with barriers to learning including (when in the workplace); SEND, NEET’s, business co-workers and families on a Supported Internship Programme across Cornwall (All supported interns are young people aged 16-24 with SEND, who have an (Education Health Care) EHC plan.
To ensure the Interns success during their workplace rotations and to seek out job opportunities both within and outside the host employer, so Interns can make successful transitions into paid employment.

Contract: Freelance (flexible role) specifically seeking tutors in Falmouth, Camborne-Pool-Redruth areas and Hayle.
