About The Role
We are committed to building and developing strong, empowered communities free from poverty and isolation. Our aim is to ensure that everyone has access to a decent home in a good environment, along with a good standard of living and positive future prospects.
The Customer Access Adviser plays a vital role in delivering customer-focused services. You will provide a wide range of support and information that contributes to well-managed homes and neighbourhoods, ensuring a fair, consistent and high-quality service for everyone who engages with JRHT, in line with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
As main point of contact, you will coordinate a variety of service areas, including raising repair requests, responding to enquiries relating to repairs, housing and general tenancy matters and processing card payments. You will also carry out the associated administrative tasks to support these activities effectively.
About You
Our ideal candidate will demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling them to engage effectively with tenants, resolve queries and ensure clarity in all interactions. You will be confident in understanding and explaining complex housing information in a clear, friendly and accessible way, alongside having a sound knowledge of the work of a Housing Association and the role of social housing.
You will bring experience of delivering front-line customer service or working with the public, with the ability to remain polite, calm under pressure and proactive in approach. A high level of discretion is essential, with experience handling sensitive and confidential information and a solid understanding of GDPR requirements.
A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion is important, as is the ability to work effectively with residents and a wide range of diverse groups. The successful candidate will be a confident decision-maker, able to interpret complex information and use initiative to provide clear advice in line with policies, training and experience.
Please note that this role will be subject to a DBS check.
Our core priority
JRHT strives to be a housing association that is sustainable and engaging, providing high quality and continuously improving services and decent affordable homes in well managed communities prioritising those in greatest need.
