About the Role

We are looking for an Operations Clerk to join our busy transport operation. This is a key support role within the office, helping to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.

You’ll be working closely with the transport team, assisting with planning, administration, and communication between drivers, customers, and ports. This role is well suited to someone organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning team with daily transport operations
• Input and maintain accurate data on transport management systems
• Communicate with drivers regarding jobs, updates, and issues
• Liaise with customers, ports, and depots as required
• Assist with monitoring job progress and resolving basic issues
• Ensure all paperwork and records are completed accurately and on time
• Support compliance processes (e.g. driver hours, PODs, documentation)
• General administrative duties to support the operations team

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Confident using computers and office systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, reactive environment
• Reliable, proactive, and willing to learn

Desirable:

• Previous experience in transport, logistics, or operations
• Familiarity with container or port operations
• Experience using transport management systems
