Role Details
Here at Academics, we are proud to be working with this fantastic primary school in Hammersmith, which is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 6 Teacher. The successful candidate will be committed to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning while ensuring pupils feel supported, confident, and well-prepared for the transition to secondary school.
Teachers benefit from regular CPD opportunities, collaborative planning within year groups, and access to experienced mentors and senior leaders who are committed to supporting both ECTs and experienced practitioners. The school promotes a positive and collaborative staff culture, where achievements are recognised, innovative ideas are encouraged, and teachers feel valued and supported in their roles.
The school welcomes applications from passionate Upper KS2 teachers across the Main Pay Scale. There may also be opportunities for experienced teachers to take on additional responsibilities or subject leadership, depending on experience, strengths, and career aspirations.
The school itself is well-resourced and places a strong emphasis on pupil wellbeing, inclusive practice, and academic excellence. Senior leaders are highly visible and supportive, working closely with staff to ensure workloads remain manageable and that professional development is meaningful and tailored to individual progression.
The successful Year 6 Teacher will be expected to plan and deliver engaging, well-structured, and differentiated lessons, accurately assess pupil progress, and prepare pupils effectively for end-of-Key-Stage assessments and SATs. A strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and Year 6 expectations is essential, alongside a reflective, proactive, and adaptable approach to teaching.
Applications are welcomed from teachers with KS2 classroom experience. For further details about the role or to discuss your suitability, please apply today.
