Cree Ward – Part time 30 hours per week – Permanent
Cree Ward supports our older adults and is a specialist acute assessment unit for people with actual or suspected cognitive impairment as a result of dementia. Like Ettrick the team receive great feedback from patients and their families and is very focused on person centred care.
Working with older adults can be so rewarding and skills learnt on this ward can also be used elsewhere across the care sector and at our Frailty units in Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary (DGRI).
Nithsdale Ward – Part time 24 hours per week – Fixed term until 1st November 2026
Our 17 bedded, Nithsdale ward provides a warm and supportive inpatient environment for working age adults with functional mental health conditions. Like the other wards our patients have access to our peaceful grounds around the hospital that include therapeutic features that allow our patients to exercise, meet in a calm space with their families and provides a safe outdoor space for reflection and recovery. Our aim is to ensure all our patients feel safe, listened to and can access the right treatment to improve their mental health.
