Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Manager, Corporate FP&A, in our Global Financial Planning & Analysis team.This role will support quarterly forecasting and annual planning processes; review and understand forecasts and plans; produce timely and insightful analysis; and prepare executive-level presentations.Location: This position will be based out of our London office. Review and understand the forecasts and plans produced by our businesses and use this information to further develop analysisProduce analysis to enhance the quality of the Plan, including underwriting and profitability insightsFacilitate effective decision-making by analyzing financial information, industry trends and economic conditionsSupport the development of presentations to key stakeholders including the board of directors, executive leadership and the investment communityDevelop new processes and reports to enhance the overall planning function; and enhance tools to improve efficiency and effectivenessCollaborate with partners to obtain necessary information and supporting documentationCreate a positive environment by modelling cultural expectations and guiding leaders to reward performance and value “can do” people, accountability, diversity and inclusion, flexibility, continuous improvement, collaboration, and creativityWhat You’ll BringBachelor’s degree with major in quantitative field (e.g. Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics). MBA, Certified Public Accountant, and/or Charter Financial Analyst preferred but not required.Minimum of 2 years Financial Planning & Analysis experience in the insurance/reinsurance industryAbility to understand, analyze and succinctly summarize financial resultsExceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information to diverse audiencesExcellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilitiesStrong organizational and time management skillsWork effectively in a team environment and independentlyFlexibility to adapt to changing work priorities and assignmentsTechnical skillsets in budgeting software systems and Microsoft Office SuiteAt Sompo, we recognize that the talent, skills, and commitment of our employees drive our success.
