You’ll be joining a team responsible for global platform laws, AI, privacy and product counselling.What You’ll Do:Advise on global platform laws and regulations with a particular focus on the Digital Services Act and the Online Safety Act Build relationships with regulators and other regulatory stakeholders Manage Requests for Information and support on regulatory investigations including coordinating with internal colleagues and managing outside counsel Analyse and advise on legal and regulatory requirements for new products, services and technologiesWork with legal and business colleagues to develop global regulatory compliance and go to market strategiesPartner with Policy and Comms on consultations, draft legislation and communication strategies Help scale the legal organisation by developing technology-first processes, including through the use of AIConduct trainings for engineers and other teams across the company Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesSignificant experience advising on online safety and digital regulation in EuropeDeep understanding of the European digital regulatory landscape, including platform regulation and privacy lawStrong understanding of the European digital legal landscape Subject matter expertise in key European digital legislation, including the Digital Services Act (DSA) and Online Safety Act Detail-oriented, business-minded, and highly collaborative, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlinesExcellent legal and business judgement, with the ability to think strategically and creativelyStrong work ethic and ability to work both independently and collaborativelyExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal and regulatory issues to a broad range of stakeholdersExperience partnering closely with engineers, product managers, and other cross-functional teamsComfortable navigating emerging areas of law and technology in a fast-evolving regulatory environmentMinimum QualificationsUK or EU legal qualification or foreign equivalent8+ years of experience practicing law In-house experience counseling clients on safety, privacy and technology and platform-related matters (this could be via a secondment)Preferred QualificationsStrong experience building positive relationships with regulators to achieve business goals and minimise riskExperience advising clients on U.S. and rest-of-world platform and privacy laws and regulations, including developing company-wide strategies for compliance across diverse jurisdictions and requirementsStrong understanding of artificial intelligence and associated laws, including challenges and opportunitiesIf you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please don’t be shy and provide us some information.”Default Together” Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster, reinforce our values, and serve our community, customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration.
