We are seeking a dedicated Dog Grooming Assistant to join our professional pet care team. This role involves supporting groomers in delivering high-quality grooming services while ensuring the safety and comfort of our canine clients. Responsibilities

• Assisting groomers with bathing, drying, brushing, and trimming of dogs according to client specifications
• Handling dogs safely and gently to minimise stress and ensure their wellbeing during grooming procedures
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of grooming tools and work areas
• Supporting with dog restraint and positioning during grooming sessions
• Providing basic animal care, including feeding or administering medication if required (training provided)
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards at all times
• Interacting professionally with clients, answering questions, and providing exceptional customer service
• Assisting with heavy lifting of equipment or larger animals when necessary

Experience

• Previous veterinary experience or animal care background is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for specific grooming tasks
• Experience working with animals, particularly dogs, is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional manner
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required
• Passion for animal welfare and a genuine interest in pet grooming industry development

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
