We are looking for a Head of Global Captive Fronting and Captive Solutions, to be based in London (it could also be based in Zurich or New York).Your Team Reporting directly to the Global Head of Alternative Risk Transfer (ART), you will be a key leader within our worldwide ART Solutions team that offers customized solutions to our customers both locally and globally. Our solutions can be multi-year / multi-line structured coverages, sustainability solutions, parametric covers as well as unbundled fronting solutions.The Impact You Will Have You will manage and grow the ART Line of Business Global Captive Fronting (LoB GCF) portfolio, leading a team of 10 fronting experts, to expand the portfolio by increasing captive accounts, Gross Written Premium and fee income. You will promote Allianz Commercial’s captive capabilities across all LoBs, define captive solution structures, and collaborate closely with peers across ART, Allianz Commercial and the Multinational Unit. You will closely workingtogether with the regional ART teams to strengthen collaboration and cross-sell.You will be the Subject Matter Expert and Business Development lead for Captive Solutions within Allianz Commercial, providing technical guidance on Captive program structures to ART LoBs and the broader Allianz Commercial captive proposition.You will drive new business initiatives with Global Distribution, oversee RFPs for captive fronted business and enhance Allianz Commercial’s visibility in the captive and risk management community through thought leadership, industry engagement, conference speaking (eg. RIMS, AIRMIC, FERMA) and contributions to publications and media.Some Of Your Specific Responsibilities Could IncludeLeading the team of fronting experts located in London, Zurich, Antwerp and North America Develop new ART LoB captive business propositions globally; oversee the ART LoB GCF portfolio, team and broader captive solutions proposition Governance & Compliance: Ensuring corporate compliance standards, including credit risk, legal documentation, reinsurance wordings and deal sign-off procedures. Foster a consistent, “one team, one model” approach to captive business Promote ART captive capabilities and value proposition to the market and internally, and align Allianz Commercial captive proposition overall. Build strong relationships with clients, brokers and internal stakeholders, encouraging collaboration with LoBs and the Multinational Unit Maintain up-to-date client and industry insights, deliver market and competitor analysis, and provide recommendations to grow Allianz Commercial’s presence in the captive space Support the management of the ART Global Captive portfolio, ensuring successful implementation of new captive programs, including compliance monitoring, service standards, fees and claims protocols. Use AI, and review existing processes, systems and outputs to increase efficiency and reduce manual work What You’ll Bring To The RoleWith an educational background in Actuarial, Insurance, Underwriting, Finance or Legal, you bring significant experience in senior underwriting management and/or negotiating, structuring and executing complex fronting and multinational programs (ideally 10-15 years). You are resolutely customer-focussed and bring:In-depth knowledge of large risks, specialty risk insurance, and the captive concept, including their operations and rationale Broad knowledge of major lines of business and sales distribution best practices Previous experience managing a global team remotely; proven leadership within a complex global matrix environment Proven ability to develop market, competitor and client insights with client relationship skills second to none Able to develop strategy and innovative solutions in order to drive further growth Able to influence key decision-makers and global senior stakeholders, globally and across all functions Expertise in integrating AI into various business functions, enhancing efficiency, and fostering a culture of data-driven innovation is crucial.
