Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading targeted small group interventions to strengthen understanding and build confidence in core subjects
• Delivering focused Maths and English support sessions aimed at boosting pupil attainment and closing learning gaps
• Working across Year 4 to Year 7, supporting pupils as they progress through key stages of their learning
• Providing classroom support and occasionally leading lessons when required
• Working collaboratively with teachers to plan, prepare, and deliver effective learning support strategies
• Supporting assessment activities and contributing to tracking pupil progress and development
• Encouraging pupils’ confidence, independence, and positive engagement with learning

The school is looking for an HLTA who:

• Has strong experience working in a primary school as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant
• Is confident delivering academic interventions, particularly in Maths and English
• Has experience supporting pupils across KS2 and into lower KS3 (Year 4-Year 7)
• Has strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Holds HLTA status or has equivalent relevant experience
