About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Finance Operations Manager to lead and optimise global Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Credit Control operations across 25+ international legal entities. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, process optimisation, automation and digital transformation across the Finance Operations function. You will play a key role in enhancing the organisation’s Order-to-Cash (OTC) and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes following the implementation of SAP S/4HANA. The successful candidate will combine strong operational finance expertise with leadership capability, systems knowledge, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage global Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Credit Control operations across multiple international entities
• Drive the optimisation and continuous improvement of P2P and OTC processes, focusing on automation, standardisation and operational efficiency
• Partner with IT and Finance teams to enhance and stabilise SAP S/4HANA and VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) capabilities
• Develop and implement scalable policies, controls and procedures to strengthen finance operations and support business growth
• Lead, mentor and develop high-performing AP and AR teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous learning
• Implement and monitor KPIs, productivity metrics and service performance measures across Finance Operations
• Oversee invoice processing, payment approvals, collections, reconciliations and cash application activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Support the global rollout and optimisation of Procure-to-Pay processes, including purchase order management and compliance
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Procurement and wider business functions to improve billing accuracy, collections and stakeholder experience
• Manage vendor, customer and internal stakeholder relationships, resolving escalations and operational issues effectively
• Deliver insightful reporting and analysis, including ageing reports, cash flow forecasts and operational performance dashboards
• Identify opportunities for automation and digitalisation to improve efficiency, controls and user experience

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Finance Operations within a global organisation or shared services environment
• Strong experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP S/4HANA, alongside finance automation and workflow tools
• Deep understanding of P2P, OTC, credit control, cash flow and financial operations processes
• Demonstrated success driving process improvement, automation and finance transformation initiatives
• Strong people management experience with the ability to lead, mentor and develop international teams
• Excellent analytical and financial reporting skills with the ability to interpret operational and financial data effectively
• Experience implementing and managing KPIs, controls and service delivery metrics
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions and international regions
• Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline
