Microsoft Cybersecurity Analyst Full Time

As a Cybersecurity analyst, you will support efforts to protect Microsoft’s platforms, services, and customers from cyber threats. This role is designed for individuals who are early in their cybersecurity careers and eager to learn, grow, and build hands-on experience in a large-scale, cloud-first environment.

You will work alongside experienced security professionals, gain exposure to real-world security incidents, and develop foundational skills across identity, endpoint, cloud, and threat detection technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Familiarity with cloud security concepts, especially Azure and Microsoft 365 with good understanding of SIEM (Microsoft Sentinel preferred), Endpoint Detection & Response (Microsoft Defender) & Identity security (Entra ID / Azure AD)
• Ability to analyze logs, alerts, and telemetry data effectively
• Learn and apply security frameworks such as Zero Trust and MITRE ATT&CK
• Follow established incident response playbooks and procedures
• Collaborate with team members across security, engineering, and operations
• Contribute to continuous improvement of security monitoring and processes
• Stay up to date with cybersecurity threats, trends, and Microsoft security technologies

Qualifications

Familiarity with Microsoft technologies such as:

• Microsoft Defender
• Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
• Microsoft Sentinel (basic exposure)
• Basic knowledge of cloud concepts (Azure or other cloud platforms)
• Understanding of common attack types (phishing, malware, credential theft)
• Strong interest in cybersecurity and incident response
• Ability to analyze information, troubleshoot issues, and learn quickly
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to work in a team-based, fast-paced environment
• Likely to be degree educated in a relevant subject (e.g. Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• Entry-level security certifications like SC 900 certification desired
