We are therefore looking for someone who lives in Luton/Stevenage.Job OverviewThe Senior Programme Coordinator is a skilled youth practitioner and leader who plays a central role in the quality and coordination of Dallaglio RugbyWorks delivery across the East of England region.This is a hands-on role combining direct delivery with operational oversight, team leadership, partnership management, and safeguarding responsibility. The successful candidate will lead by example, delivering high-quality interventions to young people while supporting and developing a regional team of delivery staff to consistently achieve high standards.Alongside delivery, the Senior Programme Coordinator will coordinate regional timetables and logistics, maintain strong relationships with schools and partners, and ensure safeguarding, monitoring, reporting, and impact measurement processes are embedded across all activity.The postholder will be passionate about supporting young people who are disengaged from education or facing significant challenges and will be committed to helping both individuals and teams achieve meaningful outcomes.What the Role InvolvesRegional Operations· Coordinate and manage the regional delivery timetable, ensuring sessions are appropriately planned, staffed, and resourced · Troubleshoot operational challenges and work proactively to resolve barriers to delivery · Build and maintain strong relationships with schools and alternative provisions to support consistent and impactful delivery · Promote and communicate the Dallaglio RugbyWorks offer to schools and partners, identifying and securing new delivery opportunities · Ensure partner schools and provisions meet agreed responsibilities, including access to facilities, staffing coordination, and engagement of young people · Work closely with the Programme Manager and internal teams to resolve operational challenges and improve delivery · Oversee regional logistics including venue bookings, transport arrangements, and access to equipment and resources Service Delivery & Practice Leadership· Deliver high-quality interventions during and outside of the school day, including evening delivery between 3pm–7pm · Adapt and deliver engaging session plans using the Dallaglio RugbyWorks curriculum and scheme of work · Support delivery staff to plan and deliver sessions to a consistently high standard · Model best practice in delivery, behaviour management, safeguarding, and relationship-based practice · Build positive, trusted relationships with young people and act as a dependable role model · Lead the planning and delivery of holiday programmes and regional enrichment activity · Support the organisation and delivery of Career Taster Days alongside the Opportunities Team · Lead on the planning and coordination of regional tournaments and events · Ensure safeguarding, wellbeing, health & safety, and risk management processes are consistently followed across all activity Team Leadership & Line Management· Provide day-to-day oversight of regional delivery and team capacity · Line manage delivery staff through regular one-to-ones, coaching, pastoral support, and performance management · Support staff development through reflective practice, peer learning, and collaborative problem-solving · Work alongside the Programme Manager and Operations Team to manage HR processes including probation, absence, and performance concerns · Champion the Dallaglio RugbyWorks culture and values across the regional team · Lead by example and promote high standards of professionalism, communication, and practice Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement· Build and maintain positive relationships with schools, alternative provisions, delivery partners, funders, and external stakeholders · Represent Dallaglio RugbyWorks at meetings, events, and networking opportunities across the region · Support the Programme Manager to maintain strong funder and stakeholder relationships · Contribute to funding applications and reports through case studies, programme insights, and impact data Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance· Ensure accurate and timely reporting of sessions and outcomes using the UpShot system · Lead on regional monitoring, evaluation, and impact measurement processes · Ensure full compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and organisational procedures · Undertake any other responsibilities reasonably required in line with the evolving needs of the role and charity Who You Are· We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and confident leading delivery within a fast-paced, relationship-driven environment.· You will have:· At least 3 years’ experience delivering interventions for young people experiencing school exclusion or similar challenges · Experience leading or supporting teams within youth work, sport, education, or community settings · A Level 2 Sports Coaching qualification (or equivalent) · A Level 2 Youth Work qualification (or equivalent) · Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to engage vulnerable or challenging young people positively · A trauma-informed approach and understanding of the challenges facing young people today · Experience building effective partnerships with schools and external organisations · Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities · A commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice · A full UK driving licence and access to a car Most importantly, you will be someone who cares deeply about helping young
