You’ll provide excellent customer service both in person and over the phone, help users access library resources, assist with IT and self‑service facilities, and support enquiries relating to books, information and local services. The role also involves promoting reading, supporting informal learning, and contributing to library events and activities for all ages.About The TeamYou’ll be part of a friendly and committed library team that works together to create welcoming, safe and vibrant library spaces. The team takes pride in supporting a diverse community, sharing knowledge and skills to improve services and respond to changing customer needs. Collaboration, flexibility and a strong sense of public service are at the heart of the team’s approach, and you’ll be supported by colleagues and managers to develop your skills and confidence in the role.About YouYou’ll be approachable, reliable and enthusiastic, with a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer care. You enjoy working with people, are confident using IT systems, and can communicate clearly and positively with users of all ages and backgrounds. Experience in a customer‑facing environment is desirable, but more important is your willingness to learn, adapt and contribute to the ongoing development of the library service.
