Reporting to our Highways Engineering Design Manager, you will be working within a growing City Development directorate, focussed on the provision and delivery of a high-quality client responsive service.
To support our ambitious Local Transport Strategy and York-North Yorkshire Combined Authority programmes, you will be involved in the design of complex transport, road safety and active travel projects delivering direct improvements to the City’s transport infrastructure.
The role will involve undertaking feasibility and detailed design of individual engineering schemes and programmes of work to ensure they are delivered on time and within budget, working with our Project Managers to develop engineering solutions and secure advocacy from internal and external stakeholders.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is willing to contribute to the team’s growth and success. In return, we will offer a range of diverse tasks and projects to work on as well as individual training and development opportunities.
As an excellent and proactive communicator, you will have experience in working within the civil infrastructure sector preferably, but not essentially, Highways and Transport
