Head Coach – FAWNL Women’s First Team
Reports to: Head of Football Operations, with dotted line to Chairman
Direct reports: Assistant Head Coach, First Team Coaching staff, Analyst, First Team

Role Overview
Leading the Women’s First Team to develop players and compete at the FAWNL Tier 4 level,
you will deliver competitive performances in line with clear playing philosophy to raise
standards and compete for promotion. You will maintain the culture of the squad in line with
the club philosophy and work collaboratively with the club staff.
Key responsibilities
• Plan and deliver high-quality training sessions.
• Lead matchday preparation and management, including tactical analysis and liaising
with staff and players
• Deliver on agreed performance objectives, including raising standards both on and off
pitch, while ensuring budget is adhered to
• Recruit players and additional staff as required, following recruitment plan
• Support technical, tactical, physical, and psychological player development including
individual and group development plans
• Support and manage players and staff
• Delegate duties and manage multi-disciplinary team of staff
• Work within club policies to ensure welfare and professional standards are prioritised
• Collaborate with the club committee to increase sponsorship and off pitch
opportunities to raise standards, including working with the junior section of the club
• Represent the club appropriately through traditional and social media
Who we are looking for;
Qualifications: UEFA B license, FA Introduction to First Aid in Football, FA safeguarding,
DBS clearance (on appointment), full and clean driving license
Experience: Minimum two seasons FAWNL or equivalent experience, understanding of
FAWNL and FA Cup requirements, alignment to club philosophy and willingness to drive
standards, understanding of high-performance environment, knowledge of part-time and dual
career player management.
Commitment:
• Evening and weekend work required
• Training Tuesday/Thursday evening with matches played Sunday afternoon
• Additional hours flexibly required to complete responsibilities in line with the needs
of matchday preparation.
• Ability to travel to and from training and matchdays is essential.
