Job OverviewA Healthcare Assistant (Band 2) supports patients in the Outpatient setting, delivering basic patient care and maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. The role involves supporting patients within the department at Hollinswood House, Community Diagnostic Centre, Stafford Park, Telford.Main duties of the jobThe main duties of the role involve supporting patients within the Outpatient setting. You will be required to take their height and weight and chaperone the patient during physical examinations conducted by the clinical nurse specialist and consultants. You will also assist nursing staff with both clinical and administrative tasks, while working under the supervision of a registered nurse. In addition, the Healthcare Assistant helps maintain a safe and clean Outpatient environment by preparing equipment, managing stock, and following infection prevention procedures. Administrative support is also required, including assisting with admissions and discharges, and handling basic enquiries.
