About Us
National Gas is securing Britain’s energy. We transport gas throughout Great Britain, repair and maintain gas pipelines, and manage the meters that allow millions of homes and businesses to access the energy they need. We are the national gas network, providing secure energy to power Britain, achieve net zero, and maintain our industrial competitiveness.
National Gas Services (NGS) provide world‑class customer service across the UK and Ireland, and are a one-stop shop for pipeline inspection, maintenance, repair and emergency response services, combining over 45 years’ experience, in‑house expertise and a nationwide depot network. NGS provides a complete, rapid‑response solution for gas transmission and distribution operators.
About The Role
This role is all about coordination, connection and delivery. As our Apprentice & Planning Coordinator, you’ll work closely with the internal programme manager, training providers, line managers and other internal teams to facilitate high‑quality technical training and support apprentice development across NGS.
You’ll help translate training requirements into clear, workable plans – making sure apprentices have the right training, at the right time, to build competence and confidence as they progress towards their first post roles. You won’t be running the Early Careers programme itself, but you will be key to making sure training and development happen smoothly and effectively.
What you’ll be doing
About You
You’ll be organised, collaborative and comfortable working across multiple teams. You enjoy coordinating activity, building strong working relationships and turning training requirements into clear, practical plans. You’re proactive, detail‑focused and genuinely care about supporting apprentices to develop the skills they need to succeed.
