Job Summary:
Scotiabank, a leading global financial institution committed to empowering its clients and communities, is seeking an Auto Financing Officer to join its External Sales team. Contributes to the overall success of the Sales Support Unit and the Non-Branch Sales Force in Trinidad and Tobago ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed/ delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Accountabilities:
Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
Provide Total Financial Relationship Management to the Unit/Automotive Dealer partners, thus contributing to the Bank’s profitability by:
• Making calls and visits to the automotive dealer partners on a regular basis
• Providing guidance to automotive dealer staff, ensuring that the Banks products, policies, pricing and incentives are clearly understood.
• Working with the automotive dealers to ensure that all clients referred to the bank receive the best service and ensure all their needs are met.
• Providing superior levels of service to each client and dealer, working with other staff members to ensure appropriate action and follow-through are taken. While this does not require hands-on execution of each servicing need, it does require an effective hand-off to the appropriate individual in the Branch and constant attention on areas for improvement within the process.
• Ensuring that every effort is made to build relationships and to identify opportunities to support the dealer’s needs
Sell customized financial solutions using a financial planning to meet the clients’ needs by:
• Identifying and satisfying the financial needs for automotive financing for clients
• Identifying and satisfying Bank products that meets the client’s additional/other financial needs.
• Listening to and fully identifying the clients’ needs and working with various groups within the Bank to identify the appropriate solution(s) for clients.
• Presenting customized solution(s) and fully discussing concerns ensuring that the solution(s) satisfies the expressed and understood need, benefiting the automotive dealer partner /client.
• Ensuring that referred sales are completed/actioned.
• Developing new opportunities for business
Contribute to the overall effective delivery of customer service by:
• Presenting a professional image and ensuring service standards are maintained at all times
• Completing individual Service Check-Ups for review during coaching with Manager.
• Consistently delivering the desired customer experience during all interactions with the
automotive dealer partners and clients
• Taking responsibility for dealers’/clients’ concerns/complaints by resolving those matters within
discretion to the dealers’/clients’ satisfaction, or by referring the issues to the next appropriate
level of authority
Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
