About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Supervisor to support the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality patient care across operational services within the South East of England.This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate healthcare professional to play a key leadership role in supporting frontline clinicians, promoting clinical excellence, and ensuring operational standards are consistently maintained. The successful candidate will provide professional leadership, mentorship, and clinical guidance to operational staff while contributing to continuous service improvement and patient safety initiatives.The role requires strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills, with the ability to support staff in a dynamic and fast-paced healthcare environment.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide clinical leadership and support to frontline operational staffPromote best clinical practice in line with Trust policies, JRCALC guidelines, and NHS standardsSupport the development, mentoring, and coaching of cliniciansUndertake clinical audits, reviews, and investigations where requiredAssist with incident management and clinical governance processesSupport staff wellbeing, professional development, and performance improvementMonitor and maintain high standards of patient care and safetyWork collaboratively with operational managers and multidisciplinary teamsParticipate in service improvement initiatives and quality assurance activitiesMaintain accurate records and reports in line with Trust requirementsSupport compliance with safeguarding, infection prevention, health & safety, and information governance policiesAbout YouWe are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate professional who:Demonstrates strong clinical leadership skillsHas excellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesCan confidently support and mentor operational staffIs committed to delivering outstanding patient careWorks effectively under pressure and within complex operational environmentsHas a proactive and solution-focused approachValues teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvementEssential RequirementsRegistered healthcare professional with current HCPC/NMC registration (where applicable)Significant experience within urgent, emergency, or ambulance care servicesPrevious experience in a supervisory, mentoring, or leadership capacityStrong understanding of clinical governance and patient safety principlesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentFull UK driving licenceDesirable CriteriaLeadership or management qualificationExperience within an NHS ambulance serviceTeaching, mentoring, or assessor qualificationKnowledge of operational performance managementExperience conducting investigations, audits, or quality reviews
