Your Role In Our Team

• This is a full-time contract for 12-15 months starting in July 2026.
• Working for the CLAAS shared service centre in the UK, the Finance Placement Student’s role will be split between accounting and analysis functions. This is primarily geared towards accounting but will also involve supporting other departments within the finance team where necessary.
• Tasks for the accounting team:
• Support with the month-end processes to ensure timely and accurate submission
• Preparation of monthly consolidated cash flow for group submission
• Support the Senior Accounting Manager and Trainee Accountant in the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Support with legal filing requirements (Intrastat, National Statistics)
• Be a point of contact for the external auditors and tax advisors and support with requests for information
• Support the ledger teams with account reconciliations
• Support the accounting team with recurring monthly tasks (e.g. bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations etc.)
• Provide finance data for management as requested.
• Tasks for the controlling team:
• Support with cash flow forecasting
• Collect and analyse data for forecasting and budget processes
• Support in project and CAPEX cost controlling
• Ad-hoc analysis where required

Your Profile

• Must possess excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• The ability to communicate with staff at all levels within the UK.
• Strong character, able to challenge when required.
• Strong IT skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Must be able to work well within a team and individually.
• Hold a full driving licence to commute to our office in Saxham daily.
