About the Role

Seven Resourcing is currently recruiting for an experienced Head of Education Quality and Inclusion (Interim) to join a forward-thinking local authority on a high-impact assignment. This is a senior leadership role focused on driving improved outcomes for children and young people across the Exeter and East locality.

You will take strategic responsibility for education performance across early years, schools, and SEND services, ensuring continuous improvement and high-quality provision for all learners. This role sits within the Inclusion & Learning service and plays a critical part in shaping and delivering education strategy at a regional level.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic delivery of educational outcomes across early years, schools, and SEND services
• Drive continuous improvement in performance, standards, and inclusion across the Exeter and East area
• Provide strong leadership across a broad portfolio including education quality, attendance, and inclusion
• Build and maintain effective partnerships with schools, early years providers, and key stakeholders
• Challenge and support education leaders to improve performance and accountability
• Take a system-wide view to ensure cohesive and effective service delivery
• Promote inclusive practices and ensure access to high-quality education for all children and young people

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior education leadership role within a local authority or similar setting
• Strong knowledge of education systems, school improvement, and SEND frameworks
• Demonstrable experience in driving service improvement and achieving positive outcomes
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills
• Ability to lead strategically while maintaining operational oversight
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
