Barnton Football Club, established in 1946, has a rich history in English football, becoming a founding member of the Mid-Cheshire League in 1948. The club competed continuously in the league, later renamed the Cheshire Association Football League, for an impressive 66 years. In 2014, Barnton FC made the move to the North West Counties Football League, where they currently compete in Division 1 South (Step 6). The club has a proud tradition in grassroots football and is based in Crewe, providing a platform for player development and community engagement.

Role Description

This is a on-site role based in Barnton, Cheshire for a First Team Coach. As the First Team Coach, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality training sessions, developing match strategies, and preparing the team for competitive fixtures. You will collaborate with players, assistants, and management to enhance performance, promote player development, and create a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• Coaching: Experience in developing and executing training programs, as well as tactical and technical coaching skills.
• Exprience: Previous experience of NWCFL or equivalent standard.
• Player Development: Strong focus on nurturing talent, creating individual development plans, and fostering team growth.
• Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership, motivational, and interpersonal skills to inspire players and staff.
• Administrative Knowledge: Familiarity with football regulations, competition rules, and effective match preparation procedures.
• Relevant Certifications: Holding an FA Level 2 (or higher) Coaching Badge or equivalent certification is required; UEFA qualifications are a plus.
• Time Management: Ability to manage schedules, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively in a demanding environment.
• Passion for the Sport: A deep understanding and enthusiasm for football, paired with a commitment to club values and goals.
