A team that you will enjoy working with.Role OverviewAs a Senior Medical Writer, you will play a key role in delivering scientifically robust, strategically aligned, high-quality content across a range of medical communications outputs.Working as a key writer on client accounts or workstreams, you will create content that meets client objectives, timelines, and budgets, while contributing to broader account strategy and team development.This role combines scientific expertise, project ownership, effective communication, and mentoring responsibilities, with close collaboration across scientific, client services, and creative teams to deliver impactful work and support business growth.Core ResponsibilitiesServe as a key writer across client accounts and workstreamsDevelop accurate, insightful, and compelling content across a range of medical communications materialsEnsure all deliverables align with client objectives, timelines, and budgetsInterpret and communicate complex scientific data with clarity and precisionContribute to broader account strategy and team developmentCollaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality, strategically aligned outputsLead conversations with clients and/or external experts as a medical communications expertWhat You’ll BringA degree in a life science or biomedical discipline (MSc or PhD advantageous)At least 3 years’ experience in a medical communications agency environmentProven ability to develop accurate, engaging scientific content across diverse formatsStrong scientific literacy and attention to detailExcellent written English and consistency in style and toneCompetence in Microsoft Office, reference management tools (e.g., EndNote), and client project management systems (e.g., Datavision, Veeva)What We OfferStructured support to move into Associate Principal and Principal roles, including targeted mentoring and exposure to cross-functional strategic workA supportive, people-focused culture that values curiosity, creativity, and scientific excellenceProfessional development opportunities within the wider AVENIR GLOBAL network, including training to strengthen scientific, strategic, and leadership skillsImportant InformationOur recruitment process can consist of virtual interviews, in person interviews, and written tasks, please let us know if you have any accessibility requirements so that we can accommodate your needs during this process.We embrace the use of AI across our business and see it as a valuable tool in our work.
