Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Leeds for an Electric Gate Installation and Service Technician. The role involves the installation, repair, and maintenance of automated gate systems, including sliding, swing, telescopic, and folding gates for residential and commercial properties. Responsibilities include reading technical diagrams, assembling mechanical and electrical components, wiring control panels, diagnosing and resolving system faults, and providing excellent customer service during on-site visits. Technicians will work closely with clients to ensure high-quality results and to address any questions or concerns regarding gate functionality, safety, or maintenance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of gate automation, mechanical assembly, and electrical wiring
• Experience with diagnosing and resolving technical faults in electric gate systems
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and manuals
• Strong communication and customer service skills to interact with clients professionally
• Capability to work on-site in various weather conditions and follow safety guidelines
• Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team
• Experience with commercial barrier systems and security gates is preferred
• Valid UK driver’s license and a willingness to travel across Yorkshire
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in an engineering or electrical field is advantageous
