This includes supporting firms in qualifying potential issues, root cause analysis, as well as designing and implementing past business reviews and redress schemes to calculate consumer harm.The opportunityOur objective is to continue being the market leader for remediation within the Financial Services sector. We collaborate and work closely with teams across EY, developing technology and regulatory risk-based solutions for our clients.Your Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Consultant within the Remediation Team your typical engagements include:Supporting firms undertaking past business reviews and remediation programmesSupporting firms respond to actions agreed with the FCA including Section 166 reviewsSupporting firms with issue identification and health checks. This could include assessing the quality of advice given by a firm in relation to financial products, assessing a firm’s systems, or validating the measures taken by a firm to correct issuesWorking as part of a team support the design and/or execution of remediation activitiesProduct/ file reviews and/ or quality assurance supportYou WillContribute to the articulation of EY findings, conclusions and recommendations in writing or verballyProvide input into the application of regulatory standards and support the development of solutions to resolve complex regulatory risks and issuesSupport engagement leaders to deliver key projects on a day-to-day basisSupport engagement planning, management, and leading small teams in engagementsWork effectively as a team member sharing responsibility, providing support and updating senior members on progressHelp build proposals in response to new client opportunitiesWork effectively as a team member sharing responsibility, providing support and updating senior members on progressSkills And Attributes For SuccessKnowledge and experience of regulation and/ or remediation and a clear understanding of the strategic implications of regulationOutstanding communication skills, displays business acumen and has the ability to work with a commercial mindset and challenging approachIs highly organised, methodical and structured whilst flexible to adjust to multiple demands and has robust project management skills and experience under tight timelines.Is proactive, anticipating and focused.
