This is a key strategic role, focused on shaping and embedding a consistent, high-quality approach to pedagogy that ensures all students receive the very best education possible. The successful candidate will be well informed by current educational research and evidence informed practice, with the ability to translate this into impactful, whole school improvement. Working in close partnership with the Vice Principal for Teaching and Learning, you will play a central role in developing and delivering the academy’s Teaching and Learning strategy. You will lead on the implementation of the academy’s agreed style of teaching, ensuring consistency, clarity and high expectations in every classroom.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be a visible and proactive presence across the academy, helping to establish a culture where outstanding teaching and learning can thrive. You will contribute to the academy improvement plan, lead on self-evaluation activities, and support the ongoing professional development of staff.
You will also lead on instructional coaching and professional learning, ensuring staff are empowered to continuously refine their practice. A key part of the role will be collaborative culture and building strong partnerships both within the academy and across the wider trust.
The role includes a teaching commitment, and the successful candidate will model excellent classroom practice, securing strong progress and engagement for all students.
