The Role:
This post is an exciting opportunity to be part of the team at the Scottish National Burns Centre based in the Burns and Plastic Surgery Unit at Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
The Burns Unit receives patients from across Scotland that require specialist Burns care. This is inclusive of big burn injury, complex cases, rehabilitation and those who require specialist care and treatments. The unit works closely with ITU and Theatres to deliver burn care which promotes healing function and the best possible outcomes for our patients. There is a strong focus on the patient journey and recovery which requires many Health Care Professionals.
The post holder will work within a team of Registered Nurses and Health Care Support Workers to ensure the safe delivery of care. The successful applicant is expected to have a flexible approach to the daily routine and an understanding and ability to prioritise circumstances/situations arising throughout the day. Working as part of the nursing team the role includes communicating with other departments such as Estates and Supplies and Stores to support a safe and efficient environment to deliver care.
No Band 2 roles are eligible for sponsorship under the or routes. For Band 3 roles, only posts of 32 hours per week or more may meet eligibility. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) cannot provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) for roles that do not meet these criteria, and applications requiring sponsorship will not be considered.
