Sales and Customer Service Assistant Full Time NEW

Exciting growth means that we currently have a vacancy for a Sales and Customer Service Assistant to join our small, busy team.

The position involves delivering first class customer service, dealing with customers across a number of channels including phone, email, LiveChat, social media and sales counter, assisting them with placing or changing orders, chasing deliveries and general enquiries, as well as more general office support.

With a worldwide customer base and a subsidiary in the Netherlands, the role will involve regular dealings with import/export admin and customers from around the world.

In short, this would be a varied role with plenty of opportunity to gain new skills and experience using modern software and systems as part of a friendly ‘can-do’ team.

— Duties and Responsibilities —

• Taking orders/changing orders
• Processing returns/refunds/credits
• Helping customers with shipping/delivery queries, chasing couriers
• Supporting customers through multiple channels including social media, email, tickets, LiveChat, sales counter and telephone
• Assisting Dutch colleagues with stock/order queries (remotely!)
• General office responsibilities

— Essential Skills & Qualifications —

Strong literacy and numeracy skills are essential, as is a friendly and helpful telephone manner.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills including correct use of spelling and grammar and confidence working with basic units and measurements. Ideally, candidates will be able to demonstrate this through good qualifications in core subjects to at least GCSE (or equivalent) level.

Skills, experience, or qualifications in the following areas would be an advantage:

• Customer service
• General business administration
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office applications

Most important of all however is a positive outlook, enthusiasm, good work ethic and ‘can-do’ attitude. We’re looking for someone who likes to make the most of opportunities and work to the best of their abilities as part of a team who feel and do the same.

— Employment Details —

The position is full time (37.5hrs/week) and permanent, based in our modern industrial unit in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
