The post holder will provide efficient, accurate and patient‑focused administrative and booking support to the Respiratory Service. The role is key to ensuring referrals, appointments, clinical outcomes and patient pathways are managed effectively in accordance with Health Board policies, service protocols and national waiting time standards.
The post holder will work closely with patients, clinicians and the wider multidisciplinary team, using strong organisational and communication skills to support smooth service delivery. A high standard of data quality, confidentiality and information governance will be maintained at all times, with a commitment to delivering an excellent patient experience across all aspects of the service.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide high‑quality administrative and booking support to the Respiratory Service, managing referrals, waiting lists and appointments in line with RTT rules, clinical guidance and waiting time targets. The role includes accurate data entry on WPAS/Myrddin, proactive capacity management, and provision of clerical and secretarial support to clinicians. As a key point of contact, the post holder will handle high‑volume patient and staff enquiries with professionalism and sensitivity, ensuring excellent communication, data quality, confidentiality and patient experience while supporting the efficient day‑to‑day running of the service.
