The hub is being developed to provide a safe, welcoming, youth-friendly space offering early support, meaningful activities and preventative mental health support aimed at reducing escalation before a crisis and preventing avoidable A&E presentations.As a Mental Health Hub Officer, you will run the hub during evening hours, ensuring the environment is inclusive, accessible and engaging. You’ll work directly with young people, partners, schools, charities and mental health providers, helping to deliver sessions and support with shaping a service built around the voices of young people.This is an operational, engagement-focused post with an opportunity to positively impact young people’s mental health therefore resulting in the hub’s success and outcomes.You’ll join the Complex Care team within Children’s Commissioning, working closely with the Mental Health Project Manager, partners across the NHS and voluntary sector, and young people themselves. Together, we are developing a community-based early-intervention offer that complements existing mental health provision while strengthening local prevention pathways.About YouIf the points below resonate with you, we’d love you to put in an application: You will bring experience of working with young people in a youth, community, education or mental health setting, and can be confident building rapport and supporting young people in a safe and inclusive environment.
