Role Description

This is a full-time Account Executive role based in Edinburgh (with hybrid working options available), focused on the pet food market.

The Account Executive will support commercial activities across lead generation, customer engagement, and account coordination. You will work closely with the commercial team to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including buyers, procurement teams, and technical leads.

Key responsibilities include identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, supporting sales pipeline development, maintaining CRM systems, and contributing to market analysis and reporting. This role offers exposure to both UK and international markets within the pet food sector.

Qualifications

• Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field such as business, animal science, or similar
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Proactive and target-driven mindset with an interest in sales or business development
• Experience using CRM systems and sales tools
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

Desirable:

• Exposure to sales, account management, or customer-facing roles
• Knowledge of the pet food, animal nutrition, or agriculture sectors
• Interest in sustainability and circular economy models
• Experience in sustainability-focused or purpose-driven industries
