An enthusiastic and experienced generalist Human Resources professional is sought for the post of HR Operations Administrator in the Department of Library, Culture, Collections and Open Science (LCCOS). This is a full-time post, fixed term until the end of September 2026. The successful candidate will work within a small local HR team to support all HR related activities within the department, managing interactions between the department and UCL’s central HR and Recruitment team. This includes full cycle recruitment, managing the on boarding of staff, responding to MyServices requests within service level agreements and acting as the first point of contact for all HR-related staffing queries for designated area. In addition, the HR Administrator will provide advice and guidance on UCL and local HR processes and policies and actively support managers and staff to follow appropriate HR procedures.
Please note, this is an internal secondment available to current UCL staff only. Eligible UCL staff will have until 11/05/2026 to be considered for this role.
The role will be working remote first with 1-day every 2 weeks onsite at our Bloomsbury Science Library office plus any other days as required. Please note, all applications will be anonymised.

As a HR professional, you have the relevant background and experience of working in a fast-paced Generalist HR Higher Education sector providing full cycle HR functions and of advising on UCL and local HR policies, procedures and processes effectively. You should have the ability to work proactively to independently manage own workload within a range of competing deadlines, with a high degree of accuracy in every aspect of work, ensuring GDPR compliance. Your approach to work is with integrity, focused, professional, proactive, flexibility, adaptability, legal compliance sensitivity and respecting confidentiality. Additionally, you have experience of managing full cycle recruitment, and initiatives to a high standard.
