Your Role The Senior IT Infrastructure Support Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of infrastructure across the Wolverhampton and Banbury sites. This position combines hands-on technical expertise with project leadership and cross-functional collaboration, supporting a major migration programme and ongoing infrastructure improvements. The role requires strong communication skills, customer focus, and the ability to work effectively within a high-performing Digital Services team. Key Responsibilities • Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise infrastructure including servers, networking, storage, and virtualisation platforms. • Provide senior-level technical support and act as an escalation point for complex issues. • Lead and contribute to infrastructure migration and modernisation projects. • Work cross-functionally with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver technical solutions that support business needs. • Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and overall infrastructure resilience activities. • Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers where required. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhancing reliability, performance, and scalability. • Ensure all infrastructure activities align with governance, security, and compliance requirements. What You’ll Bring Essential Criteria • Proven experience in senior-level IT infrastructure support, covering servers, networks, storage, and virtualisation. • Demonstrated ability to lead and deliver infrastructure projects, including migrations, within structured governance frameworks. • Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and provide effective stakeholder engagement. Desirable Criteria • Experience working across multi-site environments. • Knowledge of security, risk, and compliance frameworks. • Background in disaster recovery planning and testing. • Exposure to cloud technologies or hybrid environments. • Prior aerospace, engineering, or manufacturing industry experience.
