Build something that matters
We know the tension. Finding a job that pays and feels purposeful is not easy.
That is exactly why we built The Green Partnership.
Yes, we are a business and we need to be commercially successful. But ultimately, we exist to help people thrive and to give nature a stronger voice in the places we shape.
We are now looking for someone to help us tell that story and amplify our impact.
About us
We are a landscape consultancy, but built differently.
We work with community focused organisations to deliver practical, nature led outcomes, shaping places where people and nature can thrive together. Our work sits at the intersection of people and nature because we know one cannot flourish without the support of the other.
We are small but ambitious. We are values led but commercially grounded. We work with brilliant clients who genuinely care about what we are trying to achieve.
The role
This is not a traditional marketing role.
You will work closely with our Director and team to shape how we show up in the world. A big part of this is translating technical, meaningful work into clear and engaging content that builds trust, strengthens relationships and supports growth.
This is not an entry level role. We are looking for someone who wants to work part time and can bring both experience and creativity from day one, while working in a way that flexes around the other important parts of life, including health, family and personal interests.
You will bring experience, but also curiosity. We do not expect you to know everything about our sector, but we do expect you to want to learn.
This role is part time and is for 20 hours per week.
What you will help us achieve
Position The Green Partnership as a trusted voice in landscapes, biodiversity and community led development
Tell compelling project stories that demonstrate real world impact
Strengthen and grow our network and relationships
Ensure everything we produce is clear, purposeful and aligned to our values
What you will be doing
Managing and supporting our wider digital presence, including LinkedIn
Creating content for blogs, newsletters and industry publications
Developing case studies and project stories
Supporting and coordinating events, working groups and partnerships
Maintaining and improving website content
Supporting outreach, PR and relationship building activity
Bringing clarity and consistency to our messaging and brand
Analysing our performance and wider sector trends to refine our approach and maximise impact
Helping to develop and evolve marketing and sales materials for the business
Supporting internal communications, initiatives and communications related projects
You will also play a key role in improving how we visually communicate our work through simple, clear and effective design.
What we are looking for
We are less interested in job titles and more interested in how you think and work.
That said, there are a couple of essentials. You will need to bring:
Proven experience in marketing and communications
Strong design capability with confidence using tools such as Canva or Adobe
Excellent writing and content creation skills
Confidence managing social media, particularly LinkedIn
Ability to manage your time and juggle varied workloads
A proactive, self starting mindset
Experience in website design is advantageous, but not essential
And importantly:
A genuine interest in sustainability, nature and people centred work
Curiosity to understand our sector, clients and the challenges they face
Tools you may use
Canva and Adobe for design
LinkedIn and website platforms for content and engagement
Email and newsletter tools
Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Forms
You do not need to know everything. We value adaptability and a willingness to learn.
What we offer
A genuinely values led culture
Work that contributes to real impact for people and nature
A real work life balance with flexible, remote first working
28 days annual leave including public holidays, pro rata to 14 days, with public holidays accrued where they fall outside your normal working days
Your birthday off
A supportive team and space to grow
Ongoing CPD opportunities
Access to an electric vehicle car scheme following completion of probation
As we grow, there may be opportunities to increase hours and remuneration, shaped around both the needs of the business and your own circumstances. We thrive because our people do.
Working hours can be managed flexibly across the week (Monday to Thursday). Core availability is expected between 10am and 2pm on three days per week, with the remaining hours worked flexibly to suit individual needs.
Why this role matters
This role is about more than marketing.
It is about making sure the work we do, and the change we are trying to create, reaches the people who need to see it, understand it and act on it.
