The School of Design and Creative Arts received £3 million of investment this year, with new facilities opening in the Autumn.
Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for:
We are committed to the importance of prototyping in our design practice with significant workshop resource and we seek an applicant equally capable in the studio as the lab / workshop. Applicants will have experience across the full product design process but particularly able to demonstrate a teaching affinity with embedded electronics and coding within a product / industrial design context. Knowledge of AI tools and approaches would also be welcome. We are also very interested in research interests that tie into our School strategy in the domains of sustainability, inclusive design, and design for health and wellbeing.
Successful candidates will have a record of excellence which is contributing to the furtherance of knowledge in their discipline and which is recognised internationally. Candidates must also have a PhD or equivalent research experience and be able to demonstrate a clear trajectory towards achievement at a higher academic level.
