Requirements of the role

We are recruiting for two Team Leaders to join Authorisation, one of the SRA’s largest operational areas. Authorisation plays a key role at the heart of regulation, admitting and authorising firms and individuals, delivering the annual practising certificate renewal, and handling more than 170,000 applications each year.

As a Team Leader, you will lead, motivate and coach a team of Authorisation Officers to deliver high-quality, timely decisions that support our regulatory objectives. You will take ownership of key processes within your area, driving performance against service level agreements and continuous improvement.

What We Are Looking For

• Energetic team player with a passion for helping people reach their potential
• Experience of managing an operational team, ideally in a caseworking environment, and in delivering high standards of quality, customer service and positive team culture
• Ability to influence and constructively call out internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority
• Track record of managing and owning the development and successful implementation of processes to deliver results
• Resilient and able to work in a constantly changing environment
• Pro-active and makes decisions, even if difficult or unpopular
• Able to work in a constantly changing environment
