The Role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused Shop Assistant to join our Kings Road team full time. You’ll be the face of Pet Pavilion on one of London’s most iconic shopping streets — helping customers find the very best for their pets, keeping the shop beautifully presented, and becoming a trusted expert our clients love to return to.

What You’ll Be Doing

– Providing exceptional, personalised customer service to our clientele and their pets
– Advising on products across our premium range — nutrition, accessories, grooming essentials and more
– Maintaining excellent shop floor standards including merchandising, stock rotation and cleanliness
– Processing sales accurately using our till and EPOS system
– Assisting with deliveries, stock checks and replenishment
– Supporting the grooming team on the shop floor as needed
– Opening and closing the store as part of a rota
– Building genuine relationships with our regular clients and their beloved animals

What We’re Looking For

– A genuine love of animals — this is non-negotiable!
– Previous retail or customer service experience (luxury or specialist retail a bonus)
– A warm, confident manner with customers of all ages
– Good attention to detail and pride in your work environment
– Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
– Flexibility to work across a 5-day rota including weekends
– Basic numeracy and IT literacy
– Knowledge of pet care, nutrition or breeds is a real advantage
