We’re hiring — Technical Design Assistant ZedWorks | Hailsham/Eastbourne | £30–34k | 4.5-day week

We’re a precision, design-led architectural metalwork studio based in East Sussex, with a portfolio spanning bespoke staircases, balustrades, and public realm Cor-Ten commissions — from private residences to the National Gallery and London Borough projects.

As we grow, we’re looking for a Technical Design Assistant to join Amir, our lead designer, in bringing complex metalwork projects from concept through to installation.

The role involves: — Working in Rhino to develop technical drawings and fabrication details — Supporting survey, design development, and project documentation — Coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors on live projects — Occasional London site visits alongside studio-based work in Hailsham.

You’ll suit this role if you: — Have experience or training in architecture, product design, or engineering — Are comfortable (or keen to develop) in Rhino or similar 3D software — Are detail-obsessed and genuinely interested in how things are made — Want to grow within a small, ambitious studio rather than a large practice.

This is a hands-on role in a studio that designs, fabricates, and installs everything in-house. You’ll learn how metalwork actually gets built.

📍 Based in Hailsham, East Sussex | Occasional London travel 📅 4.5-day week 💷 £30,000–£34,000 depending on experience
