Role Description

We are seeking experienced car rental counter staff, rental clerks, branch assistants, or car hire operations professionals to support a leading AI lab with research into real-world rental operations.

This is a part-time, remote opportunity where your industry knowledge will help improve next-generation AI systems. You will be asked to create and review work based on common scenarios, customer requests, operational issues, and decision-making processes within the car rental industry.

This is ideal for someone who has worked directly with customers, bookings, vehicle handovers, rental agreements, insurance questions, disputes, branch operations, or fleet coordination.

Key Responsibilities

You may be asked to:

• Create written examples based on common car rental customer requests and operational scenarios
• Diagnose realistic issues that come up in rental branches or customer support workflows
• Explain how experienced rental staff would handle specific customer, booking, vehicle, payment, insurance, or policy-related situations
• Review peer-created examples and provide feedback to improve accuracy and usefulness
• Help AI researchers understand how professionals in the car rental industry think through real-world problems

Ideal Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in car rental, vehicle hire, fleet support, rental counter service, or a closely related field
• Strong understanding of customer service, rental processes, vehicle collection and return, damage checks, deposits, insurance options, and booking issues
• Excellent written communication skills
• Strong grammar, spelling, and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Comfortable explaining practical industry knowledge in a clear, structured way
