Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Service
Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist West Lothian
32.4 hours per week (0.9 WTE)
Fixed Term 12 months
Applications are invited from suitably qualified speech and language therapists to join the Community Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) team in West Lothian. We have a skill-mixed team of SLTs and SLT Assistants working together to deliver care across universal, targeted and individualised levels.
The post-holder will be based in a community health centre/s in West Lothian, delivering support to the local community. This will involve close work with partners, including health and education colleagues. The post-holder will manage their own caseload and will be well supported within the team.
You will be an innovative and flexible therapist with experience of working with children and young people with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs. You will also have experience of working in collaboration with education settings.
You will be surrounded by a friendly, experienced and committed Speech and Language Therapy team within West Lothian.
The Lothian speech and language therapy service is innovative and supportive. It is committed to the principles of clinical governance to provide a high quality service focused on the child’s needs. Support is provided for therapists in district based and clinically focused teams. All therapists have a personal development plan and are encouraged to extend their skills through a variety of CPD activities.
