An established and growing accountancy practice is looking for an Accounts Senior to join its specialist Not‑for‑Profit / Charity team. This is an opportunity to work with purpose‑driven organisations, develop your technical expertise, and grow your career in a genuinely supportive environment.

The Opportunity

You’ll play a key role in delivering high‑quality accounting and compliance services to a portfolio of charity and not‑for‑profit clients. Working closely with managers and mentoring junior team members, you’ll be trusted to take ownership, build relationships, and consistently exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of annual charity and not‑for‑profit accounts, including audited accounts
• Carrying out Independent Examinations
• Developing strong relationships with clients and understanding their operating and regulatory environment
• Managing your own workload and supporting team workflow to meet deadlines
• Preparing management accounts and reporting packs
• Advising clients on VAT and bookkeeping matters
• Supporting managers with planning and coordination of assignments
• Mentoring, training, and supervising junior members of the team

About You

• Part‑qualified ACCA / ICAS (or equivalent), or qualified by experience
• 2–3+ years’ experience within the not‑for‑profit / charity sector
• Proven experience preparing charity accounts
• Strong working knowledge of the Charities SORP
• A genuine passion for supporting charities and not‑for‑profit organisations
• Highly organised with excellent time‑management skills
• Strong technical capability with confident IT skills
• Clear, professional communication skills (written and verbal)
• A proactive mindset and commitment to delivering first‑class service
