Join us and you’ll be part of a business that takes your progress seriously and wants you to enjoy being part of the L&C family. From ‘The Extra Mile’ colleague nominations – recognising those who go above and beyond, your birthday off and our fabulous Perkbox membership, this is a place that really gives back on the effort you put in.
Right now, we’re looking to bring onboard a driven, commercially minded Financial Planning Analyst to join our fabulous finance team
The role
Reporting to the Head of FP&A, you will play a key role in supporting the annual budget, periodic reforecasts and long-range planning cycles, delivering accurate and insightful monthly performance packs (P&L, balance sheet, KPIs) with clear commentary and variance analysis. You will build and maintain robust financial models to assess business performance, capacity, productivity and cost drivers, while providing forward-looking scenario analysis and commercial insight across areas such as adviser productivity, lead conversion, distribution performance and marketing ROI.
Partnering closely with senior stakeholders across Operations, Sales, Marketing and Product, you will challenge assumptions, improve forecasting accuracy and enhance management information in line with FCA governance expectations. You will also support regulatory and audit requirements, maintain strong data integrity and controls, and work with Finance and Data/BI teams to drive reporting automation, improve data quality and ensure a consistent “single source of truth,” including the development of Sage Intacct reports and dashboards for department heads.
About You
You are an experienced FP&A Analyst (or similar), ideally part-qualified or qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), with strong budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis capability. You bring advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, experience using Sage Intacct and reporting tools, and ideally exposure to Power BI, Tableau, SQL or financial planning systems. You are a confident communicator who can influence and challenge constructively, translating complex financial data into clear, practical recommendations for senior stakeholders.
With a strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail and a robust controls focus, you are comfortable operating in a fast-paced, FCA-regulated financial services environment. Experience within financial services and an understanding of mortgage/intermediary market metrics-such as pipeline performance, conversion rates, completion volumes and adviser productivity-would be highly advantageous.
Why join L&C?
We care about our customers, but our employees are what make the magic happen. We’re always ready to listen and do what we can to make L&C even better for those receiving and providing our services, so working with us means being part of an environment of respect and equity. We’re entering an exciting period and it’s a great time to join us, we’re already the UK’s No.1 online mortgage broker but we don’t want to stop there.
Joining L&C Means
At London & Country Mortgages, we are committed to fostering a recruitment and selection process that is inherently diverse and inclusive. We believe in the strength that comes from a variety of perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences, and we actively seek to create an environment where individuals from all walks of life feel welcome and valued. Our commitment to diversity and inclusion is not just a goal; it is a fundamental part of our organisational culture, driving us to continuously enhance our practices to ensure that every candidate has an equal opportunity to contribute and thrive within our community
FCA certification regime & conduct rules
L&C is authorised and regulated by the FCA and is classified as an Enhanced Firm under the Senior Manager’s and Certification Regime (SM&CR). This role is subject to the 6 FCA Conduct rules and you will be expected to adhere to them at all times. (See below). Any confirmed breaches of the Conduct Rules will be reported to the FCA annually.
