Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Server/Front of House to join our dynamic team at Tony’s. This role involves delivering exceptional guest service in a humble pizza shop environment, ensuring customers have a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently. Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.

Duties

• Welcome guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a professional demeanour
• Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Provide attentive guest service, addressing any questions or concerns courteously
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
• Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times, including proper handling and storage of food items
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks when required, supporting kitchen staff as needed
• Manage table settings and ensure the dining area remains clean and organised throughout service
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the POS system
• Maintain excellent time management to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods

Requirements

• Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and basic food preparation techniques is desirable
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables efficiently
• Good communication skills and a friendly attitude towards guests and team members
• Basic maths skills for handling payments accurately
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• A proactive approach to guest services with a focus on creating positive dining experiences
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required; punctuality is essential
